Gabrielle Turner is an R&B singer/songwriter based in the Seattle area (born in Hampton, VA). Her love for music and singing was apparent at a young age, but she was very shy singing in front of others. Gabrielle fell in love with and found her voice through songwriting at age 11, with influences from various artists like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Brandy and Ashanti.
Coming from a creative family, Gabrielle was encouraged to pursue a career in music and she hasn't looked back. Since she started her career in 2017, Gabrielle has had the pleasure of collaborating with talented artists and producers in the greater Seattle area, including the multi-talented vocalist and producer Talaya. She is currently in an R&B duo called NiaMaría alongside her long time friend and songstress Nía Velazquez, as a vocalist and co-songwriter.
One of Gabrielle's major accomplishments is she was recognized as the Best Female Vocalist at the 2022 Seattle Sound Music Awards.
Gabrielle aims for her music to create fantasies, "R&B Dreamscapes" as she calls it, in the listener's mind allowing them to daydream while listening to her music. Gabrielle's writing style is heavily influenced by a combination of her personal experiences as well as observations from others. She uses poetry as a medium to express deeper emotions attached to those moments. Her debut EP "Moonlit Interludes" consists of themes around femininity, sensuality, and romance.
